Along comes February, and with it, often times begins: ‘cabin fever’, especially if the weather has kept us inside. So how do we cope? Some Home Repair Projects can be a good cure!
The following are a variety of Home Repair and Maintenance Projects suitable for the months of January, February, and March:
Tip 1: Outside Projects
Some outside projects are more suitable to those that live in a milder climate area. Some, are somewhat universal. Complete the ones that are suitable for your residing area. They are as follows:
1. Take down your outside Christmas lights and decorations
2. Clean your gutters of debris

These projects may require some or all of the following tools:
- A-Frame Ladder
- Extension Ladder
- 5-Gallon Bucket
- Bungee Cord
- Chain Saw
- Pole Trimmer
- Lawn Bags
- Garbage Cans
Tip 2: Inside Projects
In any area that you may reside in, there are some Inside projects suitable to complete during this time of year. The following are generally recommended:
6. Major and Minor Interior Remodeling
These Projects may require some or all of the following Tools and Supplies:
- Storage Containers
- Rags, Broom & Dust Pan, Shop Vac, Cleaning Supplies
- Paint, Paint Brushes, Rollers, and other Painting Supplies
- Variety of Tools
If you intend to hire a Contractor or Handyperson to assist you in any of your Projects, the first Quarter of the year is the best time to get the best deals. For most Contractors and Handypersons, this is their slowest time of the year. Therefore, often, their rates are either better, or quite negotiable. You can benefit greatly by this, from reduced rates that will vary from 5% to 20% or more. Get several estimates, and negotiate for the best rates.
